Thomas Lee Bass is an American musician from Greece and a founder member of heavy metal band Motley Crue. Lee Bass is also the long-term band drummer. He is also the co-founder of Methods of Mayhem, an the rap group. Lee has also been involved in his own musical projects. Lee is a staunch supporter of PETA as well as animal rights. In 2010, Lee wrote a letter to Terry Prather, the president of SeaWorld, protesting the treatment of Tilikum the orca. Lee considered that the animal ought to be released and stated that SeaWorld would not allow it to happen, since Tilikum is their most important donor of sperm. Lee stated that he was appalled by SeaWorld's sick and twisted methods for obtaining Tilikum sperm. Lee stated that he wanted to not want to see trainers dying, since these tragedies were due to the whales' fear of being held in captivity.
